Solution: Initial & Periodic Inspections of Lifting Machinery

TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas offers services of initial and periodic inspection of lifting/work machinery, in accordance with Joint Ministerial Decision no. οικ 15085/593/2003 (Government Gazette 1186/Β/25-08-2003) – “Lifting Machinery Inspections Regulation”, for the following type of machinery: dock cranes, construction cranes, wall mounted jib cranes, column mounted jib cranes, overhead travelling cranes, electric hoists, fork lifts, self-propelled cranes, hydraulic lifting platforms, aerial work platforms, concrete pumps, excavators, airport machinery, vehicle servicing lifts, post lifts, goods lifts, vehicle lifts, scissors lifts, automated parking systems.

Periodic inceptions of lifting/work machine are compulsory in Greece by Law (Government Gazette 1186Β/2003), at a frequency determined by the risk category classification for each machine. The time intervals of said inspections vary from 1 to 5 years.

Professionals/companies that own or use lifting/work machinery and do not ensure that the machines are equipped with Inspection Certificates issued by a Recognised Body are subject to significant fines.
